 I'd like to talk to someone personally to help me with my situation and answer some questions. Should I contact you?  This website is designed to help older adults, family members and professionals locate appropriate services. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide help with individual situations. Many of the service providers listed on our website will be able to provide additional information on the type of service they offer and assistance on a personal basis. I'm overwhelmed by the all the different terms about senior services. Does this site provide information that can help me to understand these terms? There are a number of different options available and the terminology may be confusing. Most of the terms are defined in the descriptive articles associated with each service provider classification. To access these articles, go to our home page and click "Service Provider Descriptions." Using the drop down menu, access the article or service where you have questions and many of these terms will be defined. If you're searching for housing options, refer to the housing recommendation tool. It guides you through different questions that may help determine what level of care would be most appropriate. I know what services I'm looking for, but how do I search for these services in my area? Simply select the service that your are looking for from the home page. The next step is to select a desired geographic location. Click "Go" and you will receive a full listing of all services providers in that geographic location. I notice that subsidized housing is not listed at this time. Do you have plans on adding subsidized housing information in the future? We have had difficulty in obtaining this information. It is one area that we hope to add in the near future. How do you obtain your information on providers listed on your website? As opposed to a number of other websites, we actually attempt to verify the information that we publish on our site. We do this by mailing questionnaires to and calling providers to make sure the information that we provide is accurate. This way, we have provided a tool to assist older adults, family members and professionals in locating appropriate resources. Do you provide information on services for older adults in other states? At this time, we only provide information on services for older adults in the state of Wisconsin. We have plans in the future to expand to other states. One excellent way to obtain information on services in other states is by contacting the Elder Care Locator (800) 677-1116. If you know the county or city where you are looking for services, they will give you the phone number of a local county office on aging that will assist in your search. I am a provider of services for older adults and my information has changed or I have a new service I want listed. Is there a cost to be listed and how do I update my information? There is no cost to list or update your information on our website. Simply go to the Providers - Update or Add Your Service page and provide us with the updated information.
